Atomic Habits

by James Clear

I came across Atomic Habits while writing my second book. Yes, I know, I have been writing this book for going on two years now. And after reading what James Clear says about habits, how to form good habits, break bad ones, and master the tiny behaviours that lead to remarkable results, I am more focussed than ever to complete my book this year.

Learning from Atomic Habits

I just loved this graph of how to increase your good habits one tiny grain at a time. James Clear says that improving your good habits by just 1 percent may not be immediately noticeable, but in the long run, small improvements compound incrementally and leaves a large gap between people who make slightly better decisions on a daily basis and those who don’t. I have learnt to start implementing small changes consistently to achieve big results, and to celebrate my successes and enjoy every step of the process toward the end goal.
